Whether you have a design in mind, or would like help deciding, our design team will walk you through the entire process. We’ve painted on a variety of surfaces including drywall, brick, concrete, stucco, plywood and more, and can find the perfect solution for your project.

  • Looking for a specific size canvas artwork or more of a speciality installation art? We’ve worked on lobby art, canvas commissions and everything in between.

  • Have a design already and need someone to paint it? We can do that. Are you an artist but need help translating your art to a large-scale mural? We’d love to help and we do travel!

You probably don’t hire mural painters every day, so there may be some questions when getting started with a project. We get it.

Here is a little summary of our process and pricing to get an idea of what to expect when working with Mural Mates.

  • Yes! We will walk you through the whole process, starting with inspiration, sketches and then on to digital mock-ups so you know what to expect before the painting process.

  • Murals have a big price range depending on size and design complexity. You can expect to pay between $25-$50+/sq.ft. on average.

  • Yes, our project minimum is $1500 for residential and $2500 for commercial.

  • Absolutely! We have murals all over the U.S. and are happy to travel.

    We also have awesome connections to artists all over the globe which helps with production when needed. Any travel expenses will be included in the budget.

Our Process

 

Intro

We’d love to hear about your art project. Reach out below and we will let you know if we’d be a good fit. Try to include as much info as possible such as dimensions and a photo of the wall.

Estimate

Once we get more info such as size, location, style, and timeframe, we can provide a free estimate for your project. A 50% retainer is required to begin any project.

Design

Budget is approved and retainer is paid… we can begin designing. Hooray! Most projects include 2 rounds of design changes and will take around 2 weeks.

Paint

Once the design is approved, we can schedule a time to come paint. This is the fun part as you get to see the vision come to life.

Pricing

 

Size

Most mural pricing is based on square footage of the wall. The larger the mural, the more expensive it will be. Along with this, anything above 13’ will require special lift equipment.

Complexity

There is a big range of design complexity that affects mural pricing. Depending how many colors and how detailed you want the mural will determine the price range.

Low: 1-2 colors

Mid: 3-4 colors

High: 5+ colors

Location

We love to travel. Mural Mates is based in Phoenix, Arizona but is available for local and global projects. Travel fees may be added depending on location.

For projects with uneven ground surfaces, such as stairs or exteriors, we will work with your team to get the right equipment for the job.

Surface Material

We’ve painted on just about everything but the most common is drywall.

If you have a speciality wall surface such as brick, concrete, or plywood, this may require specific prep work. Reach out to learn about your options.
